The official did not have more details.

Trump has also reportedly been negotiating with the Republican-led Congress over a package of health care reform legislation.

The two parties are expected to release a final bill later this month, but it is unclear how close the legislation is to reaching a final vote.

The White House has been scrambling to find a way to meet Trump’s demands for more than $1 trillion in tax cuts for individuals and businesses and to pay for them with additional spending cuts and revenue increases, including raising the nations debt ceiling.

Republicans have warned that if the country’s debt continues to spiral out of control, the country could run out of money in the coming years.
